Choose the scent first. Then match its additive or refill format to the one delivery machine or method designed to handle it. This guide keeps the paths separate so your atmosphere stays intentional—and your equipment stays protected.

PATH 01 / WATER-BASED
Additive into water-based effects fluid
Use a water-based theatrical scent additive with water-based fog, haze, snow, or bubble fluid—then run it through the matching water-based effects machine.
Never use an oil refill in fog fluid.
PATH 02 / OIL-BASED
Refill into a dedicated scent system
Use an oil-based scent distribution refill only with a scent cup or a dedicated scent-distribution machine built for that refill format.
Never put it in a fog machine.
PATH 03 / PASSIVE
Small-area presence without a machine
For one object, small scene, or threshold, use a scent cup or passive box. This path is intentionally localized rather than room-wide.
